Key Giro stage starts in Treviso

Saturday 23rd May 2015 sees a long TT in next year's Giro d'Italia.  Already recognised as likely to generate big time gaps the "race of truth" stage 14 is regarded as the big attraction for Sky's Chris Froome.  Nearly 60km long means his time trial prowess can really come into play - minutes rather than seconds could be gained.

The TT is likely to start outside the famous Pinarello shop in Treviso (same start for the La Pina Gran Fondo in July) and takes a similar route over the flat plains towards Conegliano.  From there it gets bumpy as the route goes over the Prosecco vineyard hills all the way to a finish in Valdobbiadene (Val-dob-bia-dene).  This is the start town for the September Prosecco Cycling Classic.
